- The cold brew decanter
- Coffee (ground/beans)
- Grinder (if using beans)
- A filter
- Scale (optional)
BREW TIME
- 8–12 Hrs
LET’S GET STARTED
STEP
01
Measure and grind
Measure 100ml of coffee and grind the beans in a very coarse setting.
STEP
02
Find a vessel
If you do not have a cold brewing decanter it is advised to use either a French Press or a tea brewing pitcher.
STEP
03
Add Coffee
Add the ground coffee to the filter component of the cold brew decanter if not directly in to the alternative brewer and knock the brewer to evenly distribute the coffee.
STEP
04
Wet the grounds
Add the measured 1000ml of water in to the chamber through the filter making sure to wet the grounds as you pour.
STEP
05
Cover and keep
Cover and keep in a cool dry place (20 degrees Celsius) depending on the strength you desire the final brew to be at. Bear in mind that the longer the contact time, the stronger your coffee will be.
STEP
06
Dispose and filter
Once the desired contact time is reached, remove the filter and dispose the coffee grounds. If you are using brewing vessel that does not have a filter component, it is advisable to use either a paper filter or a fine mesh sieve.
STEP

Enjoy
Hooray, your cold brew is ready to hit your palette! But be careful since cold brew contains 2-3 times more caffeine than other regular brews.
